Newcomer Agathe Rousselle plays Alexia, a motor show dancer and technosexual with a disturbing enthralment with violence.
After sustaining profound injuries in a car crash as a child, Alexia has a titanium plate fitted to her skull, igniting her animalistic impulse towards all things metallic. When her violent tendencies make her a fugitive, Alexia forms an unusual bond with Vincent (played by the sensational Vincent Lindon), a hardened firefighting chief grieving the disappearance of his child.

Julia Ducournau, who is no stranger to pushing boundaries and exploring taboo themes on the fringes of the extreme (see: Raw), takes us on a twisting, gruesome, erotic journey of love, survival, desire and self-discovery.
This unhinged and mind-bending queer technothriller, through all its surprising twists and turns, ultimately morphs into a profound and unexpected exploration of the human condition and our innate desire to care and be cared for.

“An intoxicating mix of grease, gore and gasoline.” – Hannah Strong, Little White Lies
