Having already played his favourite arcade game – 1983’s Gyruss, created by Yoshiki Okamoto, designer of the game Resident Evil – for an eye-watering 49 consecutive hours on a single coin, Kim is now determined to smash his own world record and play, without pause, for 100 hours straight.

Supported by his equally eccentric and determined friends Trier, Dyst, Svavar, Carsten and Emil, “Cannon Arm” sets out on a no-holds-barred attempt at ultimate geek glory.

Director Mads Hedegaard‘s debut feature film is an endearing dive into 80s nerdstalgia, complete with training montage sequences and a soundtrack featuring Iron Maiden and, of course, Bonnie Tyler.

However, the heart of the film lies in the exploration of the bond between Kim and his friends, who stand faithfully by him throughout his Rocky-esque pursuit of his admittedly “crazy” dream.
