A family of four, consisting of Mom (Pantea Panahiha), Dad (Hassan Madjooni) and the young, precocious Little Brother (Rayan Sarlak) undertake their final road trip as a family unit, journeying to the Turkish border to smuggle out the muted Big Brother (Amin Simiar). Along the perilous way, with their sick dog in tow, they encounter stunning landscapes & mysterious bikers, whilst grappling with the uncertainty of their future together.

The astoundingly accomplished debut feature from Panah Panahi (the son of acclaimed Iranian auteur Jafar Panahi), Hit the Road has been universally charming audiences since its debut at London Film Festival last year, at which it took home the award for Best Film. Soundtracked by infectious 70s Iranian pop, it boasts a supremely moving, authentic portrait of familial resilience as its emotional core, while scene-stealing young actor Rayan Sarlak turns in a child performance for the ages.
