Celebrating the 50th Anniversary of KES : A Film by Ross MacGibbon followed by in person Q&A in cinema with Choreographer Jonathan Watkins.

Coinciding with the 50th anniversary of the release of the film Kes, the story of boy and bird  is reimagined through dance by award winning choreographer Jonathan Watkins. Watkins (Winner ‘Best Classical Choreography’ at The National Dance Awards Critic Circle) reimagines the work – weaving dance, projections, puppetry and music to create ‘a family-friendly Kes to rival War Horse’. This staged production premiered at Sheffield Theatres (2014), and now a new version has been created and reimagined for the cinema screen.
