1959. The seaside town of Portorosso. Merman Luca Paguro embarks on an adventure above the surface for the very first time with new best friend (and fellow sea creature) Alberto, after discovering their amazing transforming ability. Navigating the stunningly picturesque streets paved with gelaterias and traditional Italian homes, Luca experiences a summer holiday he’ll never forget.

But danger lurks, as the locals (including a very suspicious moustached cat) live in fear of the fabled sea creatures. Together, Vespa enthusiasts Luca and Alberto journey to compete in the local triathlon cup, and keep their true identities hidden…

A gorgeously warm-hearted ode to friendship and living as your authentic, wonderfully unique self, Luca is family escapist entertainment – and Disney PIXAR – at its most vividly colourful best. Silenzio Bruno!

Luca will be preceded by the short film For The Birds.
