1hr 42mins

Our Relaxed Screenings are aimed primarily at audiences of all ages with autism, learning difficulties and/or other sensory needs and their families.

mild fantasy threat, scary sequences

Known as one of the best films in cinematic history, The Wizard of Oz, follows Dorothy (and her little dog too), played by Judy Garland, as she is transported from her family, and enters the technicolour land of Oz.

Helped by a cowardly lion, a scarecrow and a tin man, Dorothy needs to find the Wizard in order to get home. Pursued by the Wicked Witch of the West while donning some spectacular footwear, will Dorothy ever make it back to Kansas?

Relaxed screenings take place on the second Sunday of every month at 12pm in the Electra. Tickets are £6 each per person, and carers go free.

What to expect from our Relaxed Screenings:

  • Sound down a little
  • Lights up a little
  • Subtitles or Captioned Subtitles where possible
  • You can move around and make noise during the film
  • The film will start promptly, with no trailers
  • A quiet space made available for all
  • Carers go free

Relaxed screenings are open to all, although due to sensory sensitivities experienced by some of our guests, we do not recommend these screenings for children under two years.
