In this modern classic from the inimitable Wes Anderson, F Murray Abraham narrates as Zero, looking back on his youth (played by Tony Revolori), serving as the lobby boy at the distinguished Grand Budapest Hotel, under the mentorship of eccentric concierge Gustave H (Ralph Fiennes).
Upon the death of one of the hotel’s most wealthy patrons (an unrecognisable Tilda Swinton), an inheritance dispute and accusation of murder turn the lives of Gustave H and Zero upside down.
This hilarious ensemble caper also stars Adrien Brody, Saoirse Ronan, Bill Murray and Edward Norton amongst its illustrious cast, with gorgeously symmetrical cinematography and an endearingly heartfelt tone securing it as one of Anderson’s very best.
