Shy and bullied, Bastian Bux (Barret Oliver) seeks solace in reading – when he is warned away from an apparently ‘unsafe’ book, The Never-ending Story, by bookseller Mr. Coreander, Bastian is instantly curious and soon entranced by the newfound story.

Set in the magical land of Fantasia, the book follows the valiant warrior Atreyu (Noah Hathaway) on his quest to cure Fantasia’s ruler The Childlike Empress (Tami Stronach) of her mysterious illness. Fantasia is slowly being devoured by the evil force of The Nothing, and Atreyu’s efforts to save the empress are the land’s last hope for survival. However as Atreyu draws ever-closer to the answers behind what The Nothing is and how it can be stopped, it seems that Bastian may have a larger part to play than that of simply a reader.

This fantasy adventure classic has been beloved by families since its initial release almost 40 years ago, thanks to its magical, escapist storytelling and enchanting practical special effects.
