Set against the backdrop of World War II, evacuee children are leaving cities for the countryside.

Amidst the gently beautiful and pastoral landscape of Yorkshire, a group of children encounter a soldier who, like them, is also far from home.

The Railway Children Return also sees the return of Jenny Agutter, reprising her role of Roberta ‘Bobbie’ Waterbury, joined now by an impressive cast that features Tom Courtney (45 Years, Doctor Zhivago) and Sheridan Smith (Cilla, Gavin & Stacey). Playing the new generation of ‘Railway Children’ are Beau Gadson (Star Wars: Rogue One, The Crown), Austin Hayes (Ali & Ava, The Duke), Kenneth Aikens (Okko’s Inn), Eden Hamilton, and Zac Cudby.

Settle in for a glowing slice of nostalgic family viewing, full of picturesque location shots, immersive period drama and warm-hearted values. A delight!
