An artistically realised testimony to their endearing legacy, as well as their pronounced culural impact, The Velvet Underground lovingly pays tribute to the icons’ extensive industry history, blending an energetic mix of all-access interviews with invigorating archival footage of the band at the peak of their musical powers.

Celebrated director Todd Haynes, resposible for gorgeous dramas like Carol and Wonderstruck, returns to the cinematic musical world he most recently visited with his irreverent Bob Dylan biopic I’m Not There, finally giving voice to the definitive story of the titular rockers.
