Rising star, Erik Enge (The Bridge) takes the lead as Swedish football prodigy, Martin Bengtsson. When Bengtsson is scouted by Inter Milan at the tender age of sixteen, refusing the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity that recruitment to the club offers isn’t even considered an option. However, it’s not long before the epic highs of playing for the prestigious Italian club are outweighed by the extreme pressures and expectations of being and remaining at the top of his game.

Based on Bengtsson’s memoir, In The Shadows of San Siro, this hard-hitting biopic reminds us of the exploitative practices at the core of the world’s most glamorous and profitable sport, exposing the nightmarish reality of a life that many footballers would consider a dream come true.
