At Tyneside Baby Club screenings, you can enjoy some of the best new film releases in comfort with your little one. Lights are left up a touch, the sound is a little quieter, and it's fine to move around if you need to.

Please note: Only adults with a baby under two years old can attend these screenings.

Marjane Satrapi

Marjane Satrapi (Persepolis, The Voices) directs Rosamund Pike as Marie Curie in a bold celebration and study of the revolutionary scientist’s life.

The first woman to win a Nobel Prize and the only woman to win more than one, Curie fought and struggled through a male-dominated industry for her work to be respected.

After meeting and marrying fellow scientist, Pierre Curie, the pair transformed the face of science and the world following their discovery of radioactivity. The transformative effects and ensuing fallout of this shaped many of the defining moments of the 20th Century, with positive and negative ramifications, still felt to this day.

Radioactive is shown as part of our International Women’s Day Season – championing and showcasing female voices, talent and stories. Click here to view the full season.
