This very special screening of the 1971 classic The Blood on Satan’s Claw will accompany an autumnal themed two course menu which takes inspiration from the forests, from the fields and from the furrows. Grab a drink from the bar as we enter the dark realms of director Piers Haggard’s pastoral nightmare.
During the screening we will play folk-horror bingo and afterwards we will gather round our crackling indoor campfire for hot chocolate and ghostly storytelling. Tyneside Cinema’s legendary Coffee Rooms will be transformed into a dark and enchanting space where silhouettes of gnarled trees, ancient stones and rolling fields cascade across its historic walls and mists fill the air with uncertainty.
Britain’s countryside harbours many dark secrets, and the trauma of the past cannot stay hidden forever. Join us as we explore these uncanny landscapes together, through film, food and storytelling. Are you ready to unearth the secrets of eerie Albion?
