Kanae (Yoko Maki ) is struggling to run a bathhouse in the wake of her husband’s disappearance.

A man named Hori Takayuki (Arata Iura) answers her callout for a boiler man.

Without a place to live, he begins to live with Kanae and work at the bathhouse – thus beginning their strange communal life.

Wanting to know her husband’s whereabouts, Kanae hires quirky private Detective Yamasaki Michio (Lily Franky).

One by one, Kanae discovers unknown facts about her husband, uncovering the truth in the persistently lingering fragments of her childhood’s memory and Hori’s ultimate reasons for helping her.
