Adrian Panek

Adrian Panek’s new movie, a Polish contender in Black Nights’ Official Selection, is a horrifying but immensely interesting and elegant film.

Eight Children liberated from a Nazi concentration camp seem to have found peace in an abandoned orphanage. The nightmare returns when bloodthirsty wolfhounds start circling in the surrounding forest; leaving them struggling to overcome hunger, thirst and these vicious dogs. This is a rich combination of a coming-of-age drama, wartime thriller and horror movie all in one.
