H. F. Askwith, author of Half a Dark Heart, and Tasha Suri, author of The Isle in the Silver Sea, join us to discuss the origins of the Romantasy genre and why the world can’t get enough of enemies-to-lovers plots, dragon rider school settings, and seriously bold heroines.

H. F. Askwith is the author of three YA gothic fantasy thrillers – A Dark Inheritance, A Cruel Twist of Fate and Half a Dark Heart. She is a Northern Writers’ Award winner and lives in Newcastle.

Tasha Suri is an award-winning author, winning the Best Newcomer (Sydney J. Bounds) Award from the British Fantasy Society and the Starburst Brave New Words Award. Her debut novel Empire of Sand was named one of the 100 best fantasy books of all time by TIME magazine.
