Spain, 1944. The Civil War is over, but its shadow lingers. Young Ofelia (Ivana Baquero) travels to a remote military outpost, home to her cruel stepfather, Captain Vidal (Sergi López). There, she discovers a labyrinth and a faun (Doug Jones) who claims she is a lost princess. Written and directed by Guillermo del Toro, this Oscar-winning fantasy balances beauty and brutality in equal measure.

Whether you’re revisiting Ofelia’s story or meeting the Faun for the first time, it’s a film that rewards a closer look. Come hungry, and keep your eyes on the table.
