A visual marvel celebrated as one of the most beautiful films ever shot. Cinematographer John Alcott (The Shining) won an Academy Award for his groundbreaking work, using specially modified NASA lenses to shoot entire interior scenes purely by candlelight, mirroring the texture of eighteenth-century oil paintings.

Ryan O’Neal (Paper Moon) plays the opportunistic, deeply flawed protagonist alongside Marisa Berenson (Cabaret) as the elegant, tragic Lady Lyndon. Filled with a meticulous sense of period detail, an Oscar-winning classical soundtrack, and Kubrick’s signature sharp irony, the film is a masterful, melancholic examination of class, ambition and fate.
