The five-star, critically acclaimed theatrical phenomenon GIANT – The Play arrives on the big screen, captured live during its West End run ahead of a sold-out Broadway season. Written by Mark Rosenblatt and directed by Nicholas Hytner, the sensational production arrives fresh from winning three Olivier Awards, including Best New Play, alongside a historic Tony Award win for its leading man.

The story unfolds across a single, tense afternoon in the summer of 1983. Inside his family home, world-famous children’s author Roald Dahl (John Lithgow, Killers of the Flower Moon) is putting the final touches to his upcoming book, The Witches. However, a severe public backlash has erupted following an explicitly antisemitic article he recently published. Dahl is presented with a critical choice: issue a public apology or risk destroying his literary legacy. Featuring a stellar supporting cast including Aya Cash (The Wolf of Wall Street), Elliot Levey (Murder on the Orient Express) and Rachael Stirling (Salmon Fishing in the Yemen).
