Directed by acclaimed filmmaker Jennifer Peedom (Sherpa) and written by Luke Davies, Tenzing is a gripping biographical drama that celebrates the extraordinary life and legacy of legendary Nepalese-Indian Sherpa Tenzing Norgay.
Genden Phuntsok stars as Tenzing, charting his monumental 1953 expedition to conquer Mount Everest alongside outsider New Zealand climber Sir Edmund Hillary, played by Tom Hiddleston.
Co-starring Willem Dafoe as expedition leader John Hunt and Caitríona Balfe, the film offers an intimate, visually stunning look at the teamwork, grit, and physical endurance required to achieve one of humanity’s greatest mountaineering milestones.
