A destructive Tornado tears through Kansas, carrying away the farmyard home of the young Dorothy (Judy Garland) and her trusty sidekick, cairn terrier Toto.

Transported to the magical land of Oz, the magical arrival of Dorothy’s home has killed the nefarious Wicked Witch of the East.

Determined to help the new arrival find her way home, the kindly good witch Glinda (Billie Burke) sets Dorothy down the yellow brick road to seek the help of the Wonderful Wizard of Oz (Frank Morgan) – a mythical figure clouded in mystery.

Joined on the way by the iconic trio of The Tin Man (Jack Haley), The Scarecrow (Ray Bolger) and The Cowardly Lion (Bert Lahr), Dorothy’s perilous journey is threatened by the dastardly Wicked Witch of the West (Margaret Hamilton) and her legions of flying monkeys.

Remaining one of the most beloved family films of all-time, over 80 years after its first release, The Wizard of Oz is an enchanting, dreamlike technicolour musical adventure, based on L. Frank Baum’s seminal fantastical novel.
