A Touch of Action

Inspired by the 70th Anniversary reissue of Seven Samurai, we pay tribute to the best of East Asian action cinema with a selection of classic martial arts epics spanning from Akira Kurosawa to Ang Lee. Featuring masterpieces such as Hero, Police Story and Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon, these are unmissable balletic masterpieces of mythmaking and combat, made for the big screen.

This programme takes place as part of the BFI’s nationwide Art of Action season, a BFI FAN initiative supported through National Lottery.
