Hundreds of healthcare workers — including doctors and surgeons — are known to have been killed, injured or detained, with some alleging imprisonment and mistreatment.

The documentary shows that, amid relentless bombardment, Gaza’s medical professionals continue to treat patients in severely under-resourced and often unsafe conditions. The film offers a harrowing account of courage, loss and endurance, illuminating the role of frontline workers in one of the world’s most precarious humanitarian contexts.

Kirstylee Blacka

Kirstylee Blacka is a British-based, Australian Emergency Trauma Nurse working in the NHS. She worked in Gaza with PANZMA in June 2025 and later in the year visited Jordan to support a medical evacuation of injured children from Gaza to the UK. Kirsty is also founder of Gaza Hygiene Kits, a local grassroots project for vulnerable groups in Gaza.
