Based on a true story, Michelle Yeoh plays a defiant seventy-year-old who refuses to accept a predictable, dull life in a nursing home.
When she meets a former champion of the World Cubing Championship (Liu Haoran, Dead to Rights), he is inspired by Zhao’s relentless passion and infectious energy to become her personal Rubik’s Cube (aka Magic Cube) coach.
The mismatched duo embarks on an inspiring, age-defying journey and, against all odds, Zhao breaches the grand stage of international competition, shattering expectations to prove that no matter the age, life still holds infinite possibilities.
