Our Panellists:

Dr. Kate Mukungu is a community celebrant and experienced charity leader with twenty-five years of community work experience – including twelve years as a charity chief executive, feeding into her work as a celebrant. She is currently a visiting Fellow at Oxford Brookes University and a former social sciences academic.

Stacey Abbott is Professor of Film at the University of Northumbria and a member of their Horror Studies Research Group. She is an authority on Gothic and Horror film and television, with a particular interest in the vampire and zombie, and has published extensively on horror, society, and contemporary politics.

Andy Jones, founder of the Dead Good Film Club will be chairing the panel.


A free workshop will be held prior to the film screening at Newcastle City Library from 4pm -5:30pm called Dying in a Sci Fi Universe where we will create short stories together in collaboration with AI co-authors.

To do this each author contributes a section of the story, using the surrealists exquisite corpse game, so you never know where the story will take you. Booking via Newcastle City Library Eventbrite.
