Spain, 1944. The Civil War is over, but its shadow lingers. Young Ofelia (Ivana Baquero) travels to a remote military outpost, home to her cruel stepfather, Captain Vidal (Sergi López). There, she discovers a labyrinth and a faun (Doug Jones) who claims she is a lost princess.
Written and directed by Guillermo del Toro, this Oscar-winning fantasy balances beauty and brutality in equal measure.
To reclaim her place in her kingdom, Ofelia must complete three perilous tasks, while rebels in the surrounding woods fight to bring down Vidal’s regime. As the real world closes in, the line between fairy tale and nightmare grows thinner. With extraordinary creature design and an unforgettable score, it remains one of the most influential fantasy films of the century.
