Alex Winter plays Ricky Coogan, sales rep to a company selling toxic waste who, whilst lost in the South American jungle with his buddy, comes across a bunch of freaks, lorded over by a psychotic Randy Quaid.
They are held against their will and unwittingly take a dose of poison which turns them into pus-spewing weirdos.
Mr. T. and Keanu Reeves also feature in this imaginative oddball comedy with eye-popping practical effects.
