A grieving geneticist splices Godzilla’s cells with a rose and his deceased daughter’s DNA, inadvertently creating a tragic, rapidly mutating plant-beast that challenges the newly awakened King of the Monsters.

Following a deadly volcanic eruption that threatens to reawaken Godzilla, global corporations and covert operatives launch a shadow war to steal the monster’s radioactive cellular samples, which contain invaluable energy-producing properties.

Desperate to preserve the soul of his daughter who perished in a terrorist bombing, grieving geneticist Dr. Genshiro Shiragami secretly splices her DNA with her favourite roses and a sample of the highly sought-after Godzilla cells. The experiment goes horribly wrong, spawning Biollante… a massive, sentient, and rapidly evolving botanical abomination.

When corporate blackmail accidentally triggers explosives that free Godzilla from his volcanic tomb, the giant reptile heads inland, setting up a tragic, colossal clash between Earth’s ultimate atomic predator and a mutating creature born from human grief.
