To mark fifty years since its release, Sidney Lumet’s multi-Oscar-winning masterpiece returns to the big screen. Written by Paddy Chayefsky, Network is widely considered one of the most prophetic films ever made, anticipating the modern era of reality television, sensationalist news and outrage culture.

The film features a legendary ensemble cast including Faye Dunaway (Chinatown), William Holden (Sunset Boulevard), Robert Duvall (The Godfather) and Peter Finch (Sunday Bloody Sunday) as the “mad prophet of the airwaves”, Howard Beale. Renowned for its sharp, weaponised dialogue and iconic monologues, this incendiary black comedy offers an uncompromising critique of corporate greed and media manipulation that remains shockingly relevant today.
