We schedule subtitled screenings across its full programme, with the aim of offering at least one subtitled option daily spanning new releases, cult classics, archive screenings, and special events. Whatever's on, you shouldn't have to wait for access.
Volume boost headsets are also available for most screenings. Just ask at the box office when you arrive.
ACCESS BUILT INTO THE PROGRAMME
Tyneside Cinema is a dedicated independent cinema and a registered charity in the heart of Newcastle. Accessible screenings aren’t a separate strand, they’re part of how we programme. Deaf and hard of hearing audiences, those who prefer to read along, and anyone who simply finds subtitles useful will find options available throughout the week, across a breadth of films and times.
