The Tyneside Talent Unit is a free, hands-on creative hub based inside Tyneside Cinema built for young people who want a practical way into the screen industries. This isn’t a classroom. It’s not a lecture. It’s a working environment. You’ll make short films. You’ll learn directly from industry professionals. You’ll work in real spaces, with real kit, on real briefs. From camera and sound to art department, editing, producing and directing we help you understand how the industry actually works, and where you fit within it. Alongside creative skills, we focus on the things that get people hired: Reliability. Confidence. Professional behaviour. Problem-solving. Teamwork. You’ll meet like-minded people, build your portfolio, grow your network and gain honest insight into life on set the good, the challenging and everything in between.
