The Metropolitan Opera 2025-26
The award-winning series of eight live high-definition broadcasts will begin its 19th Season with a new production of Bellini’s La Sonnambula starring Live in HD regular Nadine Sierra, who continues to perform the most renowned lyric soprano roles at the Met.
This is followed by 7 further broadcasts including Franco Zeffirelli’s picture-perfect production of La Boheme starring Juliana Grigoryan and Freddie De Tommaso.
Other season highlights include the first new Met production of Bellini’s I Puritani in nearly 50 years, with a quartet of stars singing the demanding principal roles. Tenor Piotr Beczała and Soprano Sonya Yoncheva join forces in Giordano’s Andrea Chénier in December, and in the penultimate broadcast of the Season soprano Asmik Grigorian makes her Met role debut as Tatiana in Eugene Onegin, following her acclaimed 2024 company debut in Madama Butterfly.
